As some of you may be aware, if you want to report on a question which has been used in your additional information application questionnaire that you need to report on every single questionnaire which contains the question. For some organisations this is an impossible task which is where the "third questionnaire" comes in.


For any standard questions your organisation asks to every candidate that you may want to report on, we advocate adding an additional questionnaire to your application process. This can be used for questions like:

  • Where did you see this job advertised?
  • Are you applying under the disability confident scheme?
  • Armed forces veterans
  • Care experienced applicant
  • Immigration/Visa status


Then all that is required of the usual questionnaire are the job specific application questions.


You will be able to easily report on the questionnaire data which applies to all applications.


You can add the additional questionnaire on an ad-hoc basis in the same place you configure the application for the job > just look out for the "Add New Questionnaire" button.


The myjobscotland team can default application forms so that these are assigned upon creation of a job and then users will only need to amend in specific circumstances.


The below screenshot shows a council who have gone with defaulting a basic questionnaire at Questionnaire 1 which users then change to the job appropriate questionnaire, but in the event someone forgets to change the form it means typical questions are still asked.

We are looking at ways to to re-name the different questionnaires and how they appear to candidates however as not all organisations add questionnaires at the same number we are limited on how this is done.

Scoring - If you use scoring for flagging candidates, please ensure you are displaying the appropriate columns within your selection/hiring view.

Routing rules can only be applied to Questionnaire 1 and Questionnaire 2 therefore we recommend moving the diversity questionnaire to Questionnaire 3 (we can default this for you on request)
