Changes are coming to the way you invite candidates to interviews and you will no longer need to select "Other Methods" in order to send out invites as CSOD are building the scheduling tool into the scheduler.


Setting up interview Timeslots

This remains the same as always:

  1. Within the job, go to the Interview Scheduler tab
  2. Click the chevron and select "Add Time Slots"
  3. Complete the pop-up window to generate your interview slots:


    If you need to schedule breaks, you will need to set up your timeslots in batches to allow a lunchbreak so set up your morning slots and then your afternoon slots OR set up an extra slot and then delete the timeslot which would allow for lunch.


Inviting Candidates to Interview

As with the previous method, you go back to the Selection/Hiring tab and select all candidates you wish to invite to interview then Proceed > Select appropriate interview step.


You will see the interview scheduling page has changed and you no longer need to select "Other Options" as the timeslots configured in the requisition tab are now accessible in "Requisition".


Self-booking = eBooking timeslots so you leave this "On" however if inviting one at a time you will be able to select "off" if you want to select a specific timeslot for that person.


NEW FEATURE: Close Bookings

The ability to book an interview slot will now close before the interview - this defaults to 3 days however can be amended by the user to whatever delay they want between days and hours beforehand


The email configuration is similar to before just with a more up to date display:


Rules and Chasers

The biggest benefit to this development is advanced rules will now work on interviews and you will now be able to send reminders to candidates both to remind them to book their slot and remind them of their interviews (and once communication centre is set up you will have the option to send SMS reminders).


How does it work for candidates?

The improvements also extend to the candidate experience.

There is a new improved view when selecting a time slot:

The confirmation is displayed on the screen with the option to reschedule:


You can include a merge field in your confirmation email to allow candidates to reschedule to another available slot using merge field - [%reschedule_meeting_link%]by clicking here[%/reschedule_meeting_link%].


They can also decline their slot using merge fields - [%decline_interview_link%]by clicking here[%/decline_interview_link%]

Please note that when a candidate declines their interview slot they will still be assigned to the time slot on the scheduler. If you would like to free up the time slot you will need to con in to the candidate selection process and cancel the interview.
