The myjobscotland website underwent a major upgrade on Tuesday 29 September 2026. We are aware of a number of issues following the upgrade which are affecting many aspects of the website including candidate accounts, job postings, API integrations and token purchases. Our developers are actively investigating these issues and working to resolve them as quickly as possible. We will update this page regularly as more information becomes available and issues are resolved.
Known issues and current updates
Job Attachments Missing
Who is affected?
Talentlink Users
Job attachments are not displaying on adverts.
Current update:
This has been resolved.
Posting a job directly on myjobscotland
Who is affected?
Recruiting organisations that create and post vacancies directly through myjobscotland front end.
Some recruiters are experiencing problems when selecting job posting and closing dates. This may include difficulties entering dates or selecting a date using the calendar.
Current update:
We are aware of this issue and it is currently being investigated.
Preview button (eye icon) TalentLink
Who is affected?
TalentLink users
The preview/eye icon within TalentLink, used to open the myjobscotland page for a published vacancy, may currently return a Bad Request page.
Current update:
This issue is being investigated. This does not necessarily mean that your vacancy has not been published. Please check for the vacancy using Search Jobs on myjobscotland rather than relying on the preview link.
Internal, ring-fenced, redeployment and supply vacancy links
Who is affected?
Organisations using direct or intranet links to provide employees with access to internal, ring-fenced, redeployment or supply vacancies.
The method for linking directly to these vacancies has changed following the website upgrade. Previous links may therefore no longer work in the same way.
Current update:
This is not an issue with the vacancies themselves. These vacancies can now be accessed using the new myjobscotland search and filtered by the appropriate vacancy type.
To find the new URL for your organisation, please see the attached Excel file where you can generate your new link.
Organisations that provide employees with bookmarked or intranet links may need to update these links.
Job feeds from myjobscotland
Who is affected?
Anyone use mjs feeds to auto-post adverts in their own websites/social media.
We have received reports that some existing myjobscotland job feeds are no longer returning vacancies as expected following the website upgrade.
Current update:
We are investigating this issue.
If vacancies are no longer appearing on your website or system, please do not make changes to your existing integration at this stage.
API integrations
Who is affected?
Organisations who post job adverts to myjobscotland through an API integration (e.g. Veritone)
We are aware of reports of vacancies not being received as expected through some API integrations following the website upgrade.
Current update:
This issue is currently being investigated.
If you believe your integration has been affected, please contact us with details of the affected vacancies and integration.
Job reference numbers are missing from some vacancies
Who is affected?
Non-TalentLink job adverts
Job reference numbers may not currently be displayed on some vacancies.
Current update:
This has been resolved.
“Bad Request” or other website errors
Who is affected?
Intermittent - affecting any website users at various times.
Some users are receiving Bad Request or other error messages when accessing parts of the website.
Current update:
We are investigating these errors following the website upgrade.
Candidate account and application issues
Who is affected?
Candidates
We are also aware of a number of issues affecting candidate accounts and applications, including some candidates being unable to access their existing applications.
Current update:
These issues are being actively investigated.
Recruiting organisations may receive enquiries directly from candidates who are experiencing difficulties. Please refer candidates to our Website upgrades September 2026: Known Issues page for the latest information rather than advising them to create a new account.
What should recruiting organisations do?
While we work to resolve these issues, please avoid making unnecessary changes to your account, vacancies, feeds or integrations in an attempt to resolve a problem.
If a vacancy has already been submitted for publication, please check Search Jobs to establish whether it is live before attempting to submit it again.
Please do not repeatedly submit or recreate vacancies that appear to be missing. This could result in duplicate vacancies once the underlying issue is resolved.
For issues that are not urgent, please leave the site and try again later. We will update this page regularly as issues are investigated and resolved.
We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while this work continues.
